Agrias phalcidon fournierae

Agrias phalcidon fournierae is a splendid Agrias taxon described by Fassl in 1921. It is named after Aimée Fournier de Horrack, an important French insect collector who financed a lot of tropical expeditions in these years.

After being very rare in collection, it has been rediscovered in the 1990ies around Rio Madeira and Rio Canuma in Brazil.
