Agrias sahlkei sahlkei is distributed from the North banks of Amazon, from Manaus to Venezuala and the Guyanas. It has been described in 1885 by Honrath. Several forms have been described by Eugène Le Moult in French Guiana.

There are some differences between sahlkei sahlkei from Brazil and those from French Guiana as you can see on the plate below.
